About Me

My interest in Homeopathy began in 2005.  An osteopath advised me to take my middle child to see a homeopath for sleep/behavioural issues. I was immediately fascinated by the sudden changes that occurred following the prescription of just one remedy.

One thing led rather quickly to another, and I was soon training to be a homeopath! I trained at The Homeopathy College Birmingham, previously the College of Practical Homeopathy. I graduated after four truly inspiring years and went on to open an holistic centre in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. I ran a busy homeopathic clinic from there, treating people of all ages and backgrounds with a huge variety of presentations ranging from verrucas to cancer. I also ran homeopathic workshops, introducing people to the benefits of homeopathy.

I recently relocated to Devon, and my homeopathic ‘clinic’ is now from my home using the online facilities that have recently become extremely popular.

I am trained in the use of ‘muscle testing’ (Energy Diagnosis Therapy), which I often use alongside more traditional homeopathic methods to reach the best indicated remedies.

I am trained in the use of ‘Narayani Remedies’,  an incredibly powerful set of combination remedies put together by a classical homeopath (Swami Narayani) in the early seventies.

I'm a qualified yoga teacher and reiki healer. I have attended numerous courses on holistic practices and potions! Whilst these aren't at the forefront of my practice, I do feel they help in making me a more ‘rounded’ therapist.

My academic background is in Genetics and Diagnostics.

About Homeopathy

Homeopathy works on the basis that given the right stimulus the body can overcome virtually any disease. We are all capable of healing, sometimes the body just gets a little tired or stressed and ‘forgets’ how to heal.  Homoeopathic remedies stimulate the body's natural healing ability, reminding it how to heal. This is often described as ‘intelligent healing’.

Homoeopaths consider everything that might be going on for a patient. We are looking to find the root cause of  illness. This is based on the idea that symptoms are not the ‘cause’ of disease, they merely show us that dis-ease exists within the body. They are the body’s way of warning us that all is not well and the body is attempting to restore balance.

Homoeopathic remedies do not overpower the system in the way some conventional medicines do. Instead they support the healing process (which is what symptoms are). For example, a pain in your ankle after twisting it is a ‘symptom’, it’s a strong message from the body to guide you, homeopathy can be used to assist the body with healing and support that process.

What to Expect/FAQ

What can I Expect from a Consultation?

Following an initial consultation (lasting 60-90 mins), remedies are carefully selected based on your family history, individual characteristics of your presenting symptoms, and your personality as a whole. The remedies encourage your body to heal itself naturally. They are chosen to restore balance on all levels, and patients often report a sense of well-being and optimism after taking a remedy. Follow-up appointments (lasting up to 45-60 mins) are usually every 4-6 weeks.

Is Homeopathy safe?

Yes - homeopathic remedies are non-toxic and non-habit forming and can be used alongside other prescribed medication.

Who uses Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is safe, natural and gentle and, as such, can be used by anyone. Babies, children, the elderly, pregnant women and people undergoing treatment for diagnosed conditions.

What can Homeopathy treat?

Homeopathy considers any presenting symptoms, both physical and emotional. It can help treat a wide range of health conditions and improve general vitality. It can be a journey towards transformation of your entire physical and emotional well-being.

Initially a sceptic around online meetings, I now see its value. Having teenage children, I’m aware that this age group are often more comfortable ‘meeting’ in this way. Also, busy lives, mobility issues or illness means jumping onto a meeting in the comfort of your own home can make life easier.
